| Special Session on Interacting with Ambient Intelligence
Special Session Organiser: Dr. Albrecht Schmidt, University of Munich Interactive context-aware systems become feasible. Embedded computers, intelligent sensors and networked actuators combined with smart algorithms allow us to create proactive and reactive environments. Moving the computer into the background and letting it disappear from the user’s perception creates however a great challenge for the development of usable ubiquitous computing systems. In this special session we look for contributions that show novel ways of interaction for intelligent environments and context-aware space that address specific issues related to the new qualities of such settings. The following list provides some example questions where we hope to find answers:
Papers contributing original research findings, basic research contribution, and novel ideas and concepts in the area of interaction with intelligent environments, interactive context-aware spaces, and novel interaction techniques are invited. All submission will receive 3 independent reviews. Instructions for Manuscripts Authors are requested to submit a PDF file for their manuscript The paper should not be more than 10 pages long and has to follow strictly The Institution of Engineering and Technology's guidelines which are available at http://www.theiet.org/Events/ConfExh/layout.pdf All manuscripts should be Emailed to the special session organizer at the following email : albrecht.schmidt@acm.org . All manuscripts should be received by the workshop deadline for paper submission which is the 4th April 2006. For further information please contact: |
