Special Session on User-friendly Multimodal Spoken Language Dialogue Systems

Special session Organiser: Professor Wolfgang Minker, University of Ulm, Germany

Papers may discuss theories, applications, evaluations, limitations, general tools and techniques. Discussion papers that critically evaluate approaches or processing strategies and prototype demonstrations are especially welcome. Paper submissions are encouraged for (but not limited to) the following topics:

  • User-friendly multimodal dialogue strategies with a particular focus on problem solving and adaptiveness
  • Affectiveness (Recognition and expression of emotions, affective user modeling and emotional speech synthesis)
  • Architectures for user-friendly multimodal spoken language dialogue systems
  • Evaluation paradigms for usability and user-friendliness

Instructions for Manuscripts

Authors are requested to submit a PDF file for their manuscript. The paper should not be more than 10 pages long and has to follow strictly The Institution of Engineering and Technology's guidelines which are available at http://www.theiet.org/Events/ConfExh/layout.pdf

All manuscripts should be Emailed to the special session organizer at the following email : wolfgang.minker@e-technik.uni-ulm.de .All manuscripts should be received by the workshop deadline for paper submission which is the 4th April 2006.
