Travel Information
By Rail
Guildford is on the main London (Waterloo) to Portsmouth line, with a good service.
Fast trains from Waterloo take 36 minutes. There is an alternative line, with a slower service, via Cobham. Trains every 1/2 hour from Aldershot, Farnborough and Reading, and every hour from Dorking, Redhill and Tonbridge.
By Air
Via London Airport (Heathrow)
Rail-air link coaches leave Terminal 4 for Woking Station from 6.10 am to 11.00 pm, picking up from Terminals 2, 3 and 1.
Between 9.00 am and 8.00 pm they run every half-an-hour, otherwise it is an hourly service. Time to Woking, 50 minutes. Frequent trains from Woking to Guildford.
Via London Airport (Gatwick)
Gatwick Station is positioned in the South Terminal of the airport and provides direct rail-air link trains for Guildford hourly between 10.03 am and 4.03 pm, journey time 38 minutes. Other times vary.
By Road
If approaching from London (A3) or the M25 (Junction 10), remain on A3 until you reach the exit signed to Cathedral and University. Do not take the exit signed to Guildford.
If approaching on the A322 or A323 from Bagshot or Aldershot, at the A3 roundabout take the exit signed to Portsmouth, and then turn off the A3 at the first exit (signed to Cathedral and University).
If entering Guildford from Horsham (A281) or Godalming (A3100), leave the central gyratory system at the exit marked Farnham (A31). After approximately 200 yards, at the mini-roundabout, take first turning into Guildford Park Road and continue along Madrid Road to The Chase for a mile. At the roundabout take the third exit, into the University entrance.
There is ample free onsite car parking at the University of Surrey for delegates.
Guildford Link bus runs every 10 minutes between the University, the station, the town and Spectrum, between 7.30 am and 7.30 pm, then half-hourly until 11.00 pm. These times apply Monday - Saturday. Fares between the University and town centre are 50p single and 70p return. Bus stops on campus by Car Park 5 (Car Park 3 on Saturdays only).
