SPECIAL SESSION CALL FOR PAPERS IS NOW CLOSED
The VIE 2006 technical program will include Special Sessions. Their objective is to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest to the Visual Engineering community that
may also cut across and go beyond disciplines traditionally represented at VIE. Special Session proposals with strong industrial and practitioners participation emphasizing the convergence between methods and applications are welcome. Special Sessions can also serve
as forums for clustering between relevant funded projects.
Prospective organisers of Special Sessions should submit their proposals indicating:
- title of the session
- rationale of the need for the Special Session at VIE 2006.
- The rationale should stress the novelty of the topic, its
multidisciplinary flavor (if any) and industrial participation (if any)
short biography of the organisers
- list of contributed papers (including titles, authors,
contact information of the corresponding author, and a short abstract
of each contribution)
Proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic, the qualifications of the organizers and the authors of the papers proposed in the sessions, and the balance of the topics across the
technical areas represented in VIE. Manuscripts should conform to the formatting and electronic submission guidelines of regular VIE2006 papers. They will undergo peer review.
